Since the late nineties we develop disruptive technology and materials thus introducing to the industry polyolefin-based family of substrates. The advantage of polyolefins of being thermoplastics allowed us development of the whole system of substrate extrusion and continuous lamination that only thermoplastics deliver.
Nearly 25 years of these developments have finally provided products presented here – very low loss (like PTFE or even a bit better) and nearly similar to PTFE high heat performance.
In 2000-2001 the initiative was supported by MTI Wireless Edge Ltd of Israel.
High density polyethylene (HDPE) in a roll form was continuously laminated with 1/2 Oz copper foil and then irradiated by electron beam accelerator as a finished laminate.
All the above operations were carried out in continuous roll-to-roll operation.
As matching equipment was found in the Southern and Central Israel, the whole process was accomplished in the Land and the first design based on the resulting laminate was a stacked patch one.
Stacked patch antenna above was the first ever design that applied continuously laminated HDPE.
The design was based on a single-sided (SS) and double-sided laminates. The planned volume for these antennas was 1M pieces a year.
A version of passive resonators was etched of a SS laminate with aluminum cladding.
The natural partner to follow in this initiative was an Israeli flexible packaging lamination giant CLP, Ltd., now a part of the Tadbik Group, Israel.
The further development with CLP delivered a continuous process and resulting product today well established in Israel.
Mars Antennas and RF Systems were the launching customer to this development. Their industrial consumption of this product started in 2004 and gradually ramped up through all these years.
The Product covered all the diverse applications of Mars antennas.
MTI Wireless Edge joined Mars Antennas soon.
Mars and MTI designs created benchmarks in the industry that encouraged their customers to carry on with our material-based development.
These two companies consumed about 40-50K square meters a year.
A 1200-meter-long roll of SS 30 mil laminate
Every panel passes a thorough visual inspection for cosmetic defects
DS laminate 800-meter-long rolls loaded to a panelizing machine
In 2013 we formed Sivolam (PureBlue) company and accomplished further product performance and process improvement steps.
We succeeded in lamination simplification and For the first time we could announce a DF slightly lower than that of Ro5880.
Our development started with experiments in a substantially advanced polymer system and processing evolution
The fruit of these experiments was well massive and perfectly performing
In 2018, now as PureBlue, we succeeded setting up a subcontracted lamination process in Zhongshan, Guangdong.
This production supplied the needs of the Israeli customers and the new ones in China and later India.
23 dBi sub-6-GHz distribution board – a student development
Very interesting development – BiSn solder paste reflown assembly. The 1-minute exposition to a 165 °C hot reflow oven did not damage the antenna PCB's.
Overall residence time across all the temperature zones in the oven was 4.5 minutes
Doppler sensor 10 GHz, sub-6-GHz and transmission test lines – student developments from Israel.
In 2019 we passed the entrance commission of the Zhongshan Science and Technology Incubator and in December 2019 started PureBlue Zhongshan Technology Co., Ltd. within the incubator.
The purpose of the company was development of continuously extruded and then laminated RF and MW products with similar to PureBlue low dielectric loss factor.
In January-March 2021 Mr. Qirong Lu, a Zhongshan based entrepreneur joined us.
This site presents the company team joint fruits.
Our research and pilot assets have a technical throughput above 5K square meters of DS 30 mil laminate a week
